What thirty dollars of repair buys
July 30, 2026
This briefcase came back in June after seven years of daily use. The leather was fine. The stitching along the base corner had worn through where it rubbed the floor of a car.
A seam is thirty dollars. The old thread is picked out, the holes are reused so the leather is not punched again, and the seam is stitched by hand with waxed linen. It took forty minutes.
The full list is on every product page: thirty for a seam, sixty for a strap, ninety to reline. It applies to anything we made, including the two pieces we no longer sell.
